Your teams are already using AI. Who decides how?

Most organisations adopt AI tool by tool, with no named owner and no agreed controls. I help senior leaders put governance in place that teams can actually use, so AI is safe, decided and delivered.

What is often missing

The decisions around AI

Technology partners build the tools. I set up the governance that lets you approve them, own them and keep them working.

01

Who approves a new AI use?

02

Who owns it once it is live?

03

What must a person check before it acts?

04

Did it deliver what was promised?

AI governance services

From first idea to everyday use

Charged by the day, day rate on request. The days below are typical for a mid-sized organisation; your estimate is agreed in writing before work starts.

A smaller first step

AI Governance Baseline

A one-page view for your board of what AI is in use, including staff's own tools, and where the governance gaps are.

The days count towards Discovery if you continue within 30 days.

Typically 4 days
Before the project · 4 weeks

AI Portfolio Discovery

A short, structured phase that ends in a decision: a baseline of the AI already in use, interviews with your sponsor and the people closest to the work, then two workshops to rank opportunities into a Now, Next, Later roadmap.

You receive the AI baseline, a ranked AI portfolio, a brief for the first initiative and a sponsor decision paper.

Typically 9 days
During the project · two streams

AI Delivery Governance

Available together or separately, whoever builds the tool.

  • Governance Operating Model: decision rights, an approval route for new AI uses, an AI register, an AI use policy signed off by your specialists, a sponsor charter and a board report format, all tested on your first project. Typically 14 days over 6 to 8 weeks
  • Project Governance and Benefits: an agreed benefits case, business decision gates, the human checks that must stay in place, a continue, change or stop recommendation, handover to a named owner and benefits reviews at 30, 60 and 90 days. Typically 5 days for a project of up to 8 weeks
After go-live · monthly

AI Governance Lead

A monthly triage of new AI requests, the AI register kept current, benefits reviews and a one-page board note.

Three-month minimum, then monthly.

Typically 2 days a month
How I work

Governed like a programme

Clear sponsors, named owners, decision gates and benefits that are measured, not assumed.

Your decisions, made visible

Every recommendation names an owner, a decision and a date.

Built on real work

Governance is tested on your first AI project, so it is used rather than filed.

A clear day rate

The number of days is estimated and agreed in writing before work starts, and nothing extra is charged without your approval.

Specialists where they belong

Legal, data protection and security questions are named, assigned to your specialists and tracked. I do not answer them myself.

Not included in any service: legal, data protection or regulatory advice; ISO/IEC 42001 certification; technical, code or security review; building or configuring software.

Programme delivery

Programme delivery and recovery

The track record behind the AI work. Available on its own when a programme needs independent eyes or a steady hand.

Project health check and recovery plan

An independent review of a slipping project, with a recovery plan covering scope, milestones, RAID and governance.

Day rate on request

Interim programme and project management

Hands-on leadership for mobilisation, recovery and supplier delivery.
